Structured cabling, is it your networks weakest link?
At the base of every fast, reliable network is a strong infrastructure.
At the heart of every great network design is a solid, well thought
out infrastructure plan.
Did you know that network cabling is typically required to outlast
active equipment by at least 75%? This means you’ll be switching
out that switch gear long before you install a new structured cabling
system. This also means that the wrong infrastructure decision today
will cost your network severely tomorrow.
When considering a structured cabling solution for your business
you should always consider your needs for the next several years.
Easier said then done right? With new technologies emerging everyday
how is anyone to know what their needs will be in the next several
years? You don’t exactly. You know that change is imminent. You
know that if you lose pace with technology that you will lose business.
So why do most businesses treat structured cabling as an afterthought?
Maybe because it’s typically hidden behind the walls, out of sight,
out of mind! But as your data creeps at a snail's pace through those
cables hidden behind your walls, your competitor is crossing the
finish line with your customer. Today’s customer demands the best
service NOW. Keep up! Change is imminent!
